Background

Sophie and Thierry Merlin-Cherrier cultivate 13 hectares of prime location Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir in and around the commune of Bué in Sancerre.

We list their two white cuvées, a generic blend and a single vineyard bottling from Le Chêne Marchand which they have been making since 1999 from one of the best sites in the appellation. Le Chêne Marchand generally spends a good year, nearly two for the 2002 vintage, on its lees before bottling.

The estate applies the principles of la lutte raisonée.
